Fiji won 56-0.The Vodafone Fiji 7s side are mesmerisingly on their way to the Cup quarter finals of the 2014 HSBC/Cathay Pacific HK 7s after a convincing 43-5 win over Kenya in its final pool match at So Kon Po stadium this evening.

Fiji had earlier in the day outclassed Sri Lanka 56-0 and accounted for Wales in its first pool match 42-7 last night.

Fiji once again showed blistering pace, natural flair, great ball skills and that flamboyancy to brush aside a tough Kenyan outfit who are being guided by rugby great Paul Treu.

Fiji coach Ben Ryan had this to say to IRB after booking USA in cup quarters "two long days but the boys are staying focused on the field which is the most important thing. It is great to be here, you have to be careful as you don’t want to over-egg things. We try to keep things simple and we make sure we plan well. There are lots of distractions and lots of support, so you try to cocoon the boys a little bit so they cando what they need to do on the field."

Ben also acknowledged the support of wizard Waisale Serevi for the all important HK leg. "Good to have Wais with me, he adds to that motivation side of things, so we’re making a good team today," mentioned an excited Ryan.

The journey to the final, however, has now been made tougher after Australia upset South Africa 10-7 in the final match of Pool B. This means South Africa will play England in the second quaters, with the winner battling Fiji in the 1st semifinal should Fiji beat USA.

Barring any further upsets, New Zealand now has an easier route to the finals battling Wales in their quaterfinal and and lining up against Australia or Canada in the semis.Quaterfinal line up:
