THE Brazilian national football team holds a special place for Sailesh Anthony Kumar.
It has since he was a youngster riding the highs and even at the nation’s lowest ebb there’s no trade off for loyalty.
And just the thought of a glimpse of his favourite team got the former Fijian national team defender’s adrenaline going.
“It was all about the opportunity as it was always in my bucket list, I couldn’t have taken a pass.”
Kumar cheered on the Brazilians' during its Copa America game against Costa Rica at SoFi Stadium in California on Monday.
“There’s no better feeling than to watch Brazil live in action,” he said.
“Brazil was electrifying, held on to their infamous ‘Samba’ style football, brisk and tactical.”
Kumar said Brazil just couldn’t break Costa Rica’s last line of defence, who had their feet firmly planted on the defensive tactic.
Brazil played to a stalemate, but for Kumar it was living a dream.
“TV, was the closest action for me up until now, who wouldn’t want to watch their favourite team live, enjoyed every moment”.
“We talking about the 5-time World Cup champion here, win or lose, Brazil it is.
“It's about the energy, tempo and the artistry of Brazilian’s that draws world football praise.”
