THE Jayden and Jordon Memorial Tournament was more than a football event.
It was an eventful weekend of remembering the lives of the loved ones who passed away.
In lieu of sadness, the families have set aside August to celebrate via a football tournament.
In the two years running of the family-like event, the organizers have gone above and beyond to provide food, and refreshments at no cost to fans and footballers for the two days.
For the kind hearted, it was not done for acceptance, not for approval or acknowledgement but for the blessing of their loved ones.
The families have certainly traversed their humanity with ownership.
AJ, the winning Surrey Stars coach said the Jayden and Jordon Memorial Tournament has become a foundation that transcends the true essence of goodness, nurturing relationships and fostering compassion.
“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give,” he said.
AJ said the organizers have scored huge in the public eye and who deserve praise for hosting an amazing 2-day event, adding it was an event like no other.
“I salute the families for going up and beyond by feeding everyone at the park,” AJ said.
He said feeding people is a way of loving them’ is fitting tribute to the Jayden and Jordon Memorial Tournament.
“They loved others in the same selfless manner they loved now the departed.”
Surrey Stars clinched the tournament with a 3-0 win over Rewa.
