The grand finale against  fiercest rivals New Zealand made for a perfect start to a Sunday morning as Fiji out classed the defending title holder  with pure ease to claim the 40th year anniversary edition championship.

The 'grand daddy of all sevens' is the most anticipated leg and for those who watched the game on TV were certainly impressed with Fiji's overall play and commradrie.

The Toso Viti club in Surrey was a buzz with fans for the wee hour final.

Draped in the Fijian flag, Surrey-rite, Reginald Sidal was among a raucous group to cheer on  the side on every play, tries and tackle.

"Wow", he said . "I'm impressed Fiji was unstoppable.

"What a scintillating performance.

"The three quick tries killed New Zealand".

Sidal said its always a great feeling to beat New Zealand at their own game.

He praised coach Ben Ryan's tactical and technical lace at So Kon Po Stadium worked wonders that ended a 6 year drought.

"I'm happy for the coaching staff, the players and Fiji.

"Fiji was at the top of its game. New Zealand got bullied I just love it all," said Sidal.

Delta resident Sudesh Lal celebrated the victory to a tune of country's national anthem.

"Fiji the way world the should", he said.

"Fiji kicked All Blacks butt, I love every bit of the action".

Hordes admit this was one match for Fiji to loose.

Fiji started brightly with tries to Savenaca Rawaca and Jerry Tuwai to race to a 14-0 lead.

Rawaca's second, against the run of play, extended the lead to 21-0 before Beaudine Waaka scored in the corner right on the break.

Sherwin Stowers created space for Scott Curry to cross adjacent to the posts to get his side back in the game at 21-12 but Jasa Veremalua responded immediately for the Pacific islanders.

The All Black Sevens fought back again with Curry picking up his second after good lead up work from Sam Dickson but Fiji's Apisai Domolailai extended the lead again to put the result beyond doubt with less than a minute to play.

The win puts them just two points behind South Africa (110) in the overall series standings and one point ahead of third-placed New Zealand (107), with Australia (84) and England (78) rounding out the top five as the race for Olympic qualification continues.
